M&E Technical Supervisor 

£39,000-£40,000 Salary + Package

Our client is currently looking for a new M&E Technical Supervisor as they plan to expand their maintenance side of the business going forward in 2020 and into 2021.

They provide a variety of services from one off installations and servicing, and planned preventative maintenance programs with an emergency call out service 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

This vacancy is for an M&E Technical Supervisor to act as the accredited and nominated person to represent the company to ensure the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates and reports and to British NICEIC standards. To also ensure the business' premises, equipment, documentation and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC. The role will be a van mobile position where you will be expected to split your time between field work and the office.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure smooth day to day running of the contract and liaising with the client.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

· 18th Edition, IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671

· Minimum of 5 years Industry experience / Strong technical background

· 2360 Electrical Installations NVQ Level 2 or 3 or Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship

Experience Required:

Strong People Management with ability to motivate and inspire teams to work together to drive efficiencies

Excellent facilitation, communication skills at all levels

Self-motivated, resourceful and pro-active

Confident decision maker

Excellent Customer Service Delivery Skills

PC Literate - PC and MS office skills

Recognised 3rd Level Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar

Must have a proven track record in the overseeing the maintenance of detailed mechanical and electrical building services

BMS Controls Experience / HVAC Experience essential

Good technical knowledge as well as the ability to project manage and multitask

Ability to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision

Experience of Quality Management Systems

Experience and knowledge of ISO14001 would be an advantage

Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols

Confident decision maker

Experience of operation of UPS, Standby Power and Lifts, Boilers, HVAC systems.

Experience of operation of Electrical System/Switch gear/Earthing Systems of both LV & HV

Able to meet requirements to be become a company AP for LV / HV systems.

Operational experience of managing QHSE Systems
