Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Title

Lead Mechanical Engineer to undertake maintenance visits, service calls and small installation works across all mechanical disciplines across Commercial and domestic sectors (Plumbing, Gas works, legionella, AHU, pumps, pipework , with a view to taking on Sprinkler testing) . Working in all areas of the industry with a good percentage of the works being carried around the midland's area. A company tablet / laptop / PC, test equipment and company vehicle will be provided. A specific training matrix will be tailored specific to the requirements of the role.

Key Accountabilities

-Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices and in line with KPI's. To be completed by Due Date including all required documentation returned with given SLA's, to ensure 100% compliance.

-Carry out reactive repairs across the mechanical disciplines as instructed by client and respond to all work requests in line with client SLA's/KPI's.

-Responsible for requesting and specifying all required parts for jobs.

-Take ownership of all mechanical areas of the business and see issues through to satisfactory resolutions for the client

-Be available to assist on mechanical elements which may occur during call out operations.

-Risk assessments must be completed before all PPM and Reactive works.

-Always maintain the professional image of company through positive presentation, behaviours, and attitudes. Company uniform to be worn at all times.

-Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Client representatives and company employees.

-Ensure the provision of a Safe & Healthy working environment and promote a positive safety culture and ensure company safety rules are always adhered to.

-To operate site software systems promptly and effectively to ensure efficient maintenance activities and proactively look for opportunities to save energy.

-To conduct weekly proactive inspections and raise required reactive jobs and complete works to raise client/site standards.

-Ensure work reports, and necessary company documentation is sent to the Admin team promptly within set timescales.

-To attend Client meetings and provide effective communications to Site Operations and Regional Facilities Managers.

-Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development.

-Assist sales team in providing information for remedial quotes to be sent to clients

Opportunity for the correct candidate to work alongside the Company Directors to grow the mechanical side of the business, with a view to taking on a lead role in the running of that side of the company as and when the business grows sufficiently to support it.

Commercial Gas Engineer Package

Salary Package: £35,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)

40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Van, fuel card, etc.
