Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer (Installation) to join our team. Based in Tipton, this role involves nationwide travel to client sites for the installation of commercial gas systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of various commercial gas appliances and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and commission commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating appliances, and associated pipework.
- Conduct routine maintenance and service work on newly installed systems as required.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs or adjustments on commercial gas appliances and systems.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and adheres to relevant regulations (e.g., Gas Safe).
- Travel to client sites across the UK, with the potential for overnight stays.
- Work closely with the project management team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and complete job reports as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service, liaising with clients and addressing any concerns.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Current and valid Gas Safe registration with relevant commercial gas qualifications (e.g., COCN1, CODNCO1).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or similar discipline (desirable).
- Experience:
- Proven experience in installing commercial gas systems.
- Strong understanding of commercial gas appliances, heating systems, and associated pipework.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and, if necessary, stay overnight.
