Static Electrician

Working 5 over 7 Rota
We are looking for 3 Electricians to join the team at a static site in Leicester. Reporting directly to the Senior Engineer, the successful candidate will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance activities to items of electrical plant and equipment as may be defined and specified on systems on or below 240V AC.
Some of the other responsibilities of the Electricians are as follows:
- Carry out fault finding and defect rectification to items of electrical plant and apparatus as may be defined and specified.
- Carry out the installation of new plant and apparatus as may be defined and specified.
- Knowledge of low voltage distribution and network systems.
- Operate with minimum supervision.
- Able to documentary support their inspections and pursue fault rectifications.
- Must be able to understand technical and wiring diagrams.
- The role is a key supporting function in the challenging environment of a secure establishment. The role calls for leadership and setting visible standards of personal performance and accountability and the post holder is expected to function with a degree of independence.
- Assist the other members of the maintenance team with their activities as may be required.
- Become familiar with the operation and maintenance of the various systems and equipment installed in the whole of the premises as defined or requested.
- Carry out all duties assigned to them in a safe manner, observing all statutory regulations and the local regulations which may be in force.
- Carry out investigations into the performance of the plant and equipment installed in the site and to produce related reports and recommendations as may be required.
What you will need to do the role
To carry out this role successfully you will have a C & G Electricians Certificate in safe isolation/safe electrical working or equivalent. Have good working knowledge of electrical systems (low voltage). You must also be qualified to BS7671 (Current Edition of the IEE Regulations).
