Working Hours: 12pm-8pm or 2pm-10pm (depending on site requirements)

Are you a highly organized, dynamic leader ready to make a difference in a bustling healthcare setting? We are seeking a committed and experienced Head Porter to work  from one of our biggest clients in the FM industry.

As the Head Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital's day-to-day logistics. You’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating a team of 75 staff members, including porters, drivers, security, and reception personnel. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing on-site deliveries, managing shift scheduling, and providing excellent support for hospital staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities for a Head Porter:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of porters, drivers, security, and reception staff, ensuring high performance and effective teamwork.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee the timely and efficient delivery of supplies and materials within the hospital premises.
  • Problem Solving: Address logistical and operational issues swiftly to ensure seamless service across departments.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain compliance with hospital policies, health and safety standards, and quality control measures.

Requirements for a Head Porter:

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, ideally in a healthcare or facilities environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of motivating a large and diverse team.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to operational challenges.
